Last week we drove an hour and a half into the country to take our "big kids" to camp. I've now decided that if I am ever reincarnated, I want to come back as a kid who gets to go to camp each year. Seriously, this place is awesome (and just in case you are wondering, this is not a rich kid's camp - it is very reasonable for even the average family.) Some of the activities that the kids get to chose from are archery, horseback riding, alpine climbing & ropes course, motor bikes, canoeing, sailing, hiking, zipline, swimming, water activities (skiing & wave boarding), speed boating, arts and crafts, mountain biking, riflery, drama, and the ever fun trip to the water park (which includes a water trampoline, water wrestling mat, 2 water slides, a climbing iceberg, and a blob.) This was the second year for our kids to go to Camp Cosby and they had a wonderful time. J.D. even won the Sailing Award. Maybe he'll sail in the America's Cup one day!

Kai was a little lost without his brother and sister but he survived. To make him feel a little better, I took Kai to a local park where he could feed the geese and ducks. He had a great time throwing bread to the ducks but wasn't too fond of the aggressive geese (neither was I.)

Kai was thrilled to pick up J.D. and Piper at the end of the week. They were exhausted but pretty much unharmed (which for J.D. is a miracle in itself.) We are all home now and just waiting for school to start (or dreading the start of school, depending on who you ask.) This has been a wonderful summer and we are going to cherish our last few unencumbered weeks together.
